5th Avenue is a shopping
street on the island of Manhattan in New York where the world’s biggest brands’
flagship stores are located. We became very familiar with the avenue, mainly
for the reason that almost everyone in our group spent their freetime shopping,
and 5th Avenue was the place for that. Also the majority of our sights were
located on 5th Ave (Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, New York Public
Library, Guggenheim, Columbus Day Parade and Central Park).
The stores located on 5th Ave
vary from luxury brands (e.g. Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Prada) to cheap clothing
stores (e.g. H&M). Due to this reason the passers-by were very dissimilar
compared to each other. And of course the avenue was filled with tourists and
their cameras from all corners of the world; either shopping recklessly or
taking photos and staring up at the skyscapers.
