Harlem
Our 1st day in New York
started with a typical Starbucks breakfast. After breakfast we had enough
energy to continue to our next destination, Grayline Sightseeing Tour Center.
The bus we got on went through multiple locations and one of them was a large
neighborhood called Harlem. Harlem is in the northern section of Manhattan.
Harlem is known as one of the worst areas for poverty and crime in New York and
the United States. It was day time so we couldn’t see any crime happening there
but a slight glimpse of poverty was noticeable. However, the beautiful weather
that we had on that day gave me hope for Harlem’s future.
