Broadway and Aladdin
Broadway, the iconic street
in New York City, was quite a spectacle. Having learned what goes on behind the
scenes in the theater, we were beyond excited to see one of the shows with our
own eyes. And what better show to see than the childhood classic Aladdin?
Established in 1903, the
New Amsterdam Theatre is the oldest operating theater on Broadway and the home
of Aladdin. The theatre itself was magnificent, decorated with
intricate details as shown in the pictures. The whole experience was truly
magical thanks to the amazing staff. The employees welcoming us at the
entrance, the ushers, and the bartenders were all attentive and clearly
dedicated to their work.
Now, to the actual show.
Everything was perfectly thought out — from the tiniest bedazzles on the
costumes to the flashiest special effects, such as Aladdin’s magic carpet. All
the actors and dancers were incredibly skillful. However, the Genie stole the
show with his charismatic presence and witty jokes.
Overall, the experience was
worth every penny, and we’re sure we all made memories we’ll cherish for the
rest of our lives.
