Rockefeller Center and The Top of the Rock

The Rockefeller Center and Top of the Rock
The Rockefeller Center is a complex of many buildings — mostly skyscrapers — and it locates between 48th and 51st streets in Manhattan in the center of Midtown covering the area between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue.

There is an observation deck in the Rockefeller Center called Top of the Rock which is a famous sightseeing attraction in Manhattan. On the Top of the Rock you can see the whole city in day or night light and for instance famous buildings such as the Empire State Building. Besides the observation deck, Top of the Rock, The Rockefeller Center offers other activities and places to see. In the wintertime there is an ice rink and year-round all kinds of shops for the more indoor-type of people.

The Rockefeller Center is a place absolutely worth visiting. Its famous top, Top of the Rock, gives the spectator an amazing view of the city no matter what time of the year it is. Just buy a ticket (we had our own in the New York City Pass) and take the elevator 70 floors up and you will see the entire concrete jungle almost like from a bird's-eye view. I have to say that it really is breathtaking — whether you visit during sunrise or sunset, as we did.
