Broadway experience to remember - Chicago October 12, 2019

Chicago the Musical

On October 12th we were able to experience the New York Broadway in form of one of its most famous shows: Chicago. The musical was truly one of a kind, something that I had never seen before. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take pictures during the musical, so you will not be getting any of those. (Apart from the picture of the playbill!)
The Ambassador Theater is on Broadway on the west 49th street. You can only imagine how unreal it felt when we arrived at the theater at approximately 7:30 pm and saw the flashing signs and lights of the majestic Broadway. After a while spent in the queue we got to our seats that were on the balcony. The view was great, but one negative thing can surely be said: The legroom was ridiculously small, which resulted to the fact that my legs were numb after the show. But let’s not focus on the negative, shall we?
So, Chicago? It is a classic for sure and oh boy, it did not let us down. The acting, singing, dancing: everything you can expect of a Broadway show was perfect. The plot was clear and easy to follow. There were jokes and humor that made us laugh and music that brought shivers to our spines.
Chicago gave us an unforgettable experience and I am sure that most of us will cherish it for a long time, because it was truly something that we are not able to find in Finland.
