Central Park
We didn’t spend much
time in Central Park on our visit to New York City, but the time we spent was
still enough to make me wonder about the size and beauty of the park. The
hardest part for me to believe about the park, is that it’s fully man made. It
just seems so natural. The park is 3.41km2 in area and it takes 3.9%
of Manhattan’s whole surface. Central Park is located next to many different
neighbourhoods and as we drove around it, we got to see different kinds of New
Yorkers. Even though there’s some rough neighbourhoods next to the park, mostly
in the north, the park itself isn’t dangerous. Things were different back in
the day when homeless people etc lived in the park, but now it’s kept safe by
gates and big walls.
