West Side YMCA
The name YMCA for the
hostel comes from ”Young Men’s Christian Association” and it was located pretty
well, on the West Side of Central Park, 5 West 63rd Street New York, 10023, and
almost next to the subway station. It was pretty good for being a hostel, even
if the rooms were really small and they didn’t have private bathrooms, they
were still fine. We didn’t even spend there any time except for sleeping so
when the beds were comfortable enough that was all we needed. A huge plus was
that the WIFI-network was working in the rooms too, not just in the hall. Also
in New York City it is possible to find cockroaches in much better hotels too,
but we did not see any of them in YMCA and I don’t think there were any bedbugs
either so that was really great. All in all, the hostel was actually pretty
fine and comfy and because of the excellent location, it was just perfect for
us, who just wanted to sleep well between the days full of everything to do.
